    What's in a Name

    ★★★★

Directed by Alexandre de La Patellière and Matthieu Delaporte, and adapted from their very own play, What’s in a Name? (Le Prénom), is a whimsical indulgence, a french dinner party film much in the same vein as Le Diner de Cons, and more recently, Le Jeu. Ghost in the Shell

    ★★★

An unexpectedly worthy addition to the expansive Ghost in the Shell franchise. The Death of Stalin

    ★★★★½

Great black comedy. A phenomenally cast, well-written satirical take on an admittedly absurd time and place in history. By not lampooning the Soviet Union to the point of drastically deviating from the truth, Ianucci lets the natural absurdity of the situation and the amply capable cast drive the comedy of the film. The politically satirical tone and influence of The Thick of It and Veep are palpable, and the setting and story of the mid-50s Central Committee greatly benefit from this tone. Hugely enjoyable and absurdly hilarious.
