  i know Nolan’s sound mixing is his signature at this point, but it was unbearable here. i had to strain my ears to hear the protagonist’s dialogue at some points in the film. although i could personally understand some aspects of the time travel, it was all a bit too convoluted and the plot was not all that captivating to require that.

  “we felt the imprisonment of what it was like to be a girl.”

  I wish I would’ve watched this as a melancholic and angsty teen girl because I knew I would’ve LOVED it, and because i still carry her with me, I still feel that way. It has such an eerie, hazy, and dreamlike atmosphere that encapsulates youthful summer nostalgia in your small town that I absolutely love.
