Captain America: Brave New World 2025
It just feels small somehow. Unfinished, even. You can almost feel the stitches of rewrites throughout it, characters that should have been pivotal are reduced to cameos, the outcome often feels less like a fully fleshed out movie and more like DLC to help introduce some concepts for bigger, more well thought out projects in the future. Sam deserves better.
The extra half star is for Carl Lumbly's performance alone.

You know what? I've had a lot of nostalgia for this movie, my entire life. But to be honest, I've kind of liked it less as time passes. I get that the big lesson at the end is to appreciate your family even when they suck, but goddamn do these people suck. Every single character in this movie outside of the scary looking neighbor man and Polka King John Candy are just terrible, verbally abusive parents, uncles, aunts, kids etc. Kevin is an entitled little shit. I cant relate to these cartoonishly privileged rich people 😂
