coraline always felt weirdly personal like watching a version of my own life play out in stop motion. my parents even kind of look like hers :d watching it again with my someone who didn’t know me as a kid but wanted to felt almost like showing them my memories instead of just a movie. i was definitely rediscovering a part of myself id almost forgotten
