206 min of only Lily Gladstone directed and written by a young (female) director, I would have gladly watched until the end. If you can’t even write and tell the depth of your main characters and the key relationships, why tell the story at all?
I thought the movie is about remembering the women who suffered in Magdalene asylums and not about watching Cillian Murphy trying to show emotions. Super intersting story but the movie failed to deliver. There is no comparison between "The Quiet Girl" and "Small Things Like These" which are both based on books by Claire Keegan.
