had to pause the movie and stare blankly at the screen for a minute about 3/4ths of the way through just to appreciate how beautifully this movie picked up and came together
also recognizing places at UdeM and Santa Cabrini in this was a jump scare
still can’t believe he wrote this at 16 (!!)
such a beautiful and surprisingly mature exploration of coming-of-age and the complexities inherent to the mother-child relationship
Lady Bird on crack but also make it queer and québécois lol loved this very much
a weird, gloomy, damp and atmospheric folk horror (and surprisingly solid adaptation of the book). i too would adopt and raise the literal devil if he came to me in cute hare form. grief horror never disappoints !!
