I think one of the producers mentioned that it’s nice and important to see more stories with the female gaze but it’s inherently in a male gaze because it was directed by a man…
still I think it was a fun ride but definitely a little preachy for my taste. the “smash the patriarchy” bit was a little cringe but obviously the messaging is important and wonderful. also liked how they were able to keep the tone of the beats…
