While I think the directing, editing style, and use of stock-image green screen imagery could be used to make a cool music video, this movie was a failure. With a $14,000 budget, this film aims to make the viewer (who's most likely inebriated) feel bored or uncomfortable. I've seen porn clips with better acting, and if that was the filmmaker's point, that's corny
This film's plot is significantly less interesting than the reviewers above me make it out to be. Ripe with predictability and overused horror tropes, this slasher didn't feel that unique. However, I did enjoy the level of gore that Ti West sprinkled throughout his movie. The musical score, aerial lake shots, and color-grading worked nicely with the rural Texas backdrop.
