  Superman 1978

  This is a classic. If you’re 30 or younger you will probably laugh at the special effects, but this movie was very well done for 1978. Straight forward comic book plot, tells the story simply and allows you to just believe in the characters who are not very complex. I absolutely love Christopher Reeve (RIP 😔) in this movie. He is the epitome of Superman. Gene Hackman gives a great performance as well. Apart from Lois’ flying monologue 👎🏼, I love this movie and watch it every few years.  The theme song is 🏆outstanding as John Williams’ music typically is. 
  Shout-out to Marlon Brando as Jor-el.

  Got a warm and nostalgic feeling from the get-go with the original music playing subtly throughout. Story was modified and wonderful. Timothee Chalamete was fantastic as WONKA, believable and endearing. Calah Lane was a strong addition with Jim Carter and (a personal fav) Hugh Grant super supporting actors that made a fun and entertaining ensemble. The singing was well done and the humor made me laugh aloud more than once. Terrific family movie. If the original is too old for younger families to be on board with, this is a wonderful contemporary version.

Following
