It is impossible to walk into a Spike Jonze film and not expect a metaphysical exploration of the human mind and 'her' might just be his best work.

On the surface, 'her' is a film about a writer who finds himself in love with an intelligent software. Intelligent is an understatement, because through 'Samantha' - the film challenges our preconceived notions of what we accept to be a sentient being. It makes you question whether you could really alienate someone…

Why Are We Creative?: The Centipede's Dilemma

Incredibly dull repetitive film with 60-70 one liner interviews answering the titular question. I appreciate the lifelong commitment to the cause, but the end result is neither inspiring nor contemplative. The question seemed to catch most artists off guard and many brushed it off with quirky unfunny replies. The film needed the craft and ingenuity of a professional director and editor who can craft something meaningful from the miles of interview footage of the exact same question.

Is it fate or the nature of irony that a film about creativity is the least creative of all.
