I went in watching this film with the notion that it would be incredibly sexist and unfunny. The manic pixie dream girl narrative definitely snuck its way in but without a doubt still made me have a giggle.

The yearning in this movie makes it for me. Bella's depression feels so accurate to real life and reflects what the chapters in the book were like. Showing that one is depressed through the seasons with not one thought in mind really reflects how well the film depicted the book.
