Queer 2024
Queer surprised me with its performances, theme, and dreamlike imagery. I usually love surreal scenes/films so much and in spite of this this film and its Chapter 3 felt unpleasant and inconsistent to me. It didn’t really tie the story together, and the message felt too dispersed.
Props to Kathi’s theory, that says that the film is about the relationship with oneself, the different phases we go through and the discoveries we make along the way. So James Bond courted young James Bond and then they had a honey moon with its addictions and an ayahuasca trip
