Naah, I’m not buying it.
If this were marketed as a father-son movie, maybe I’d let it slide. But they focused on the romance, which honestly feels stalker-ish and manipulative. The way Mary falls for Tim so easily is just bad writing.
And while the movie tries to push a message about living in the moment, seizing the day, yadda yadda yadda, the fact that it uses time travel as a major plot device but treats the logic so poorly…

The Favourite 2018
I think this is my favorite film directed by Yorgos Lanthimos so far.
The writing is rock solid, the love triangle participants deliver magnificent performances, and the cinematography is beautiful.

Satu-satunya film Indonesia yang bisa bercerita tentang hantu tanpa menakuti penontonnya.
Apresiasi setinggi-tingginya untuk animasinya! Detail rambut dan bajunya cakep banget. Gaya animasi antara Kesatria Gelembung dan backstory Pak Kades yang berbeda juga sama-sama keren. Referensi produk seperti Buavita dan es krim Wall's, ditambah world-building-nya, terasa Indonesia banget!
Dari segi penulisan, ceritanya cukup solid, dan banyak jokes yang pecah! 👏 Sayangnya, sisi mistis dan backstory Pak Kades kurang ngena. Mungkin kalau ditambah beberapa menit, bakal lebih oke.
