it’s an insane experience. technically it’s perfect: the acting, the photography, the dialogues, the music, everything is perfect. it is problematic, in its depiction of bodies, of sex, of love. but this overly perfect aesthetic serves a cynical criticism of dominance and power relationship in the society. and sex. i love how every tension is related to sex, everyone is unfaithful in so many different ways. stanley kubrick always serves anyway.

Taxi 2015
making movies illegally is already insane. but the way such a simple idea, a display of such ordinary interactions between a deep reflection about reality and truth manages to create a captivating movie is even more fascinating. though establishing a brave political message, the movie does not become an overly stereotypical complaint and the love that all the characters have for tehran is undeniable.
