I maybe set my expectations too high as I’m a big fan of the original, and compared this one fails to match the heightened atmosphere and authentic feeling banter between the characters of the 1996 film which I love it for so much.
However, the visual effects are stunning, ‘I know a spot’ = rodeo is hilarious, why the heck not, and the twists (eyy) and turns of the plot… while slightly predictable, still add up to a fun watch. …

The Wonder 2022
Haunting and captivating. I’m now very stuck in the colours and the landscape and the soundscape. Great performances. The story was told so well, with a satisfying ending.
I wasn’t sure where we were going for a while, the story felt subtle and like it could go in any direction, which made it all the more compelling.
Interesting choice with the bookends of fourth wall breakage, but worth it for the moment in the middle of the film, even though it felt oddly out of place.
Overall, every aspect of this film was so so well done and I can’t wait to watch it again.
