Adapted the stage production to screen perfectly. Not mad about the two parts knowing what’s to come. They juiced the hell outta Act 1.
Knocked off half a star before cuz “The Wizard and I” just had too many shots of Not Elphaba’s Face for it to be her first solo, but Jon Chu ate his directing role DOWN everywhere else, so.
There’s a scene in the second-half of the film I KNOW the Oscars will be using
Elphaba’s arc at the end of Part 1 ends the same way I usually feel whenever Cynthia Erivo sings or does anything at all
