  I postponed it because it was not really my thing the first time I watched it (it was my first Ghibli, on a random day on a trip 4 years ago and it bored me indescribably) but it was the next on my Ghibli Marathon so I had to give it a chance and surprisingly: I liked it so much more.
  I see that it is the most adult and serious movie from the studio so far and I appreciate it, it's a good change of pace. Also, I always enjoyed slice of life animes, so it hit the right spot for me.

  Fuck, that's one of the greats...
  The last time I've felt like this in a movie theater was with Oppenheimer and Dune 2 and that's SOMETHING! I love BIG and AMBITIOUS movies fuuuuuuck

  It's waaaaay darker than I expected, but I guess that's the reality of that period...
  I love how we could see the passing of time through their clothes, their surroundings and his addiction.
  Probably my favorite from this award season
