    Mickey17 is a goofy gluttonous gumball of a B movie. Probably almost 20 minutes too long, with some digressions and sequences, mostly in the middle that bloat it, giving it a physiognomy not unlike the director himself, and with some left-field performances that feel oddly miscast, but Pattinson throws himself fully into the hijinks and I had myself some good chuckles. It doesn’t feel like a compromised vision in the least. And at this scope that is a rare goodness.…

    Almost charmingly Conventional mentor/mentee narrative on a road trip of horrors, all too relatable and immediate. Sound design that tastes of gunpowder and bile. Dunst at 9000, Plemmons actualizing the PSH heir status PTA made textual 12 years ago.

    Both more and less on its mind than I’ve seen discussed of and derided for, somehow. Which in an of itself makes it a curio, imho
