Anora 2024
This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.
A weird caricature of a modern day hooker in Brooklyn, the music is utterly detached from modern taste. Anora as a character is written blandly and with no personality, a husk for pole dancers and hookers to fit the molding of who they idolize when in reality the female lead is the shell of a person.
We gave Mikey Madison an Oscar for this?
Can’t believe Nosferatu didn’t get an an Oscar and this did. Sean Baker, go back to school man.Translated from by -

Alien: Romulus 2024
This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.
God I fkn love the movie theater, upon my third viewing I realized the first scene with Rain looking at the sun in the beginning is possibly her successfully making it to Yvaga after surviving the Romulus hive.
Based on the introduction scene, the entire film is her remembering what happened after she wakes up from cryo.

Alien: Romulus 2024
This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.
This movie fux, amazing amazing amazing amazing film that mixes the lore of H.R. Giger’s Xenomorph with the weird Engineers revealed in Prometheus. Fede Alvarez directs this movie with a HORROR lens first, then a science fiction lens. Amazing set pieces, HORRIFYING BODY HORROR, borderline hopeless and disturbing nods to things happening off screen cuz if you know what Xenomorphs are about you know how weird they are.
This movie definitely illustrates the Aliens as they should be viewed, somewhere…
