  Okay, to their credit: this movie is making a lot of very important points. It’s about victim blaming and speaking up when the world wants you to stay quiet.

  I just don’t think it’s well executed, and that’s super sad.

  Also HUGE trigger warnings for graphic and violent sexual assault & prolonged school shooting. I think we are beyond having to see those things in movies. It does more harm than can be justified for “storytelling” purposes. Also there were no warnings from Netflix about it. So there’s that.

  Anyway, this didn’t really fit in my October movies. Oops??

  Speak No Evil 2024

  Let me tell you, the NYC premiere of Speak No Evil tonight at DGA is the perfect environment in which to watch this movie.

  I was very scared to see this but I ended up having a great time. Ivana was the perfect scary movie plus one, and it was also very very cool to go to will call and say that I was a guest of Blumhouse. Blumhouse!!! My favorite!! I’m so emo about this.
