  This movie is a massive balm to those who are disproportionately tortured by mortality, naturally it’s also a platter of philosophies originating from a careful eye to that torture. We got hedonism, determinism, nihilism, and it seems to land on virtue ethics— which works here, considering his goal is to objectively earn Rita’s love. Egotistical message, very American, very endearing.
