Glengarry Glen Ross 1992
What I like even more than movie/novels are adapted plays. The constraints of the form force a focus on few characters whose dialogue almost entirely drives the story. So also here. On top - there is a cinematographic point in shooting the adaptation. The noir 80’s unnamed American setting uniquely brings out the way GGR captures the omnipresent pressure to !!SELL!! Unknown gem.

Why the rush? Could have easily been 3 hours longer.. I love it when watching movies feels like reading novels, and this is the best example. Michael’s prelapsarian Sycilian interlude has also immensely grown onto me over the past few watches.
