Going to have a Satoshi Kon week and where to start than none other with Perfect Blue. A psychological thriller about a pop idol turned aspiring actress that starts to lose touch of reality. A dark watch in places but the scenes where she starts to slip are mind-bendingly good.

Perfect Days 2023
Great cinema experience and a lot to discuss and think about after. Is the character content with life, is he depressed, is he holding onto something that happened in the past or has he made peace with it. The film never answers those questions and it beautifully doesn't need to.

Days of Heaven, simply an incredibly poignant yet hopeful film and one that's easy to take comfort in with its simplicity and beautiful imagery, possibly the best put to film ever. The new 4k restoration is just everything.
