The artstyle, animation, the choreography and just everything about this is magical. I love the characters and the spontanious dialog.
Sadly the message and plot of the movie left a lot to be had. The pacing in times feels rushed, except for the musical numbers, which get the moment to stay artificially. Magnificent. Like watching 100 Old Men try to perform the swan lake.
There is something weirdly interesting about watching a 60 year old play a 30 year old man. Especially when he brakes the shopkeeper his hand.
