Brings up interesting points and is thought provoking. Hurts itself by trying to be too many things at once.
I think other reviewers are missing the main points. It’s less about celebrity worship and more about manipulated societies and how a corrupt cultures social norms can seep into our everyday lives. But the movie should do a better job of making that obvious.
I gave Interstellar a rewatch at the IMAX rerelease. It provided an immersive viewing experience that puts this Nolan masterpiece in a whole new light.
I first watched Interstellar on a 8 inch plane screen. In that viewing I was mesmerized by its themes of love, fear, human connection, sacrifice and higher purpose.
In this viewing I found an appreciation for the cinematography and editing. Nolan gave me a seat on that ship.
