While this information is definitely very important to know currently, having a completed movie about a situation that hasn’t stopped developing is pretty strange for Alex Gibney. Wouldn’t be surprised if they make a sequel in a couple years that has more production value and is more planned out.

The last 30 minutes are amazing, and the rest is pretty good too. The directing’s pretty good throughout, but the editing is really all over the place. I’m not sure what the theatrical and the director’s cuts big differences are, but in the theatrical cut there’s multiple times where it feels like they wanted to shorten scenes, so they cut abruptly from one scene to another. Definitely my least favorite of Charlie Kaufman’s works, but still this is ridiculously inventive and charming.
