When We Lost to the Germans 2023
Interesting watch for sure. Ending hits like a truck even though it is somewhat expected. Certain subplots that don’t really make a lot of sense to me and feel needless, but I might just be ignorant. Beautifully filmed for how dark the subject matter is.

Watched once, don’t think I will revisit this movie very often if ever in my life time. That being said, this is such a good cautionary tale that also feels very real and personal. Aside from the more serious elements, this movie has this aura around it that is just so familiar and, oddly enough, comforting. This movie crushed my soul last summer tho, and I think it would absolutely do the same to you.
