Interesting story and great performances of Julianne Moore and especially Natalie Portman. Found the pace of the story a bit slow and couldn't keep focus a couple of times.
Very strong debut for Molly Manning Walker. She described it as loosely autobiographical and that's the first thing that came to my mind: it feels so real. As someone who has been to similar holidays with friends, the images of partying, the strip, the alcohol has been portrayed perfectly.
The film is an important and necessary look at the reality of linking puberty and alcohol with the idea of sexual consent.
Left the theater the same way as I left 'After Sun': broken. Both Andrew Scott and Paul Mescal gave the most tender, thoughtful and authentic performances, backed up by the delicate Claire Foy and Jamie Bell. I'd have to say that Scott really steals the spotlight. As he deftly manoeuvres through a surreal and "ghostly" series of events, we are treated to a masterful portrayal of character growth. Scott's journey unfolds with a delicate balance, showcasing his evolution from uncertainty…
