  idk why but it was hard for me to feel any real emotion watching this, especially after the last shot when they write the whole anti-drug campaign. im all for it obviously but the film kinda feels like its forcing you to feel an emotion at times. maybe im just overthinking it and it'll make more sense on a rewatch but it's still a good film, i just had some trouble connecting with it.

  Everything in this movie feels so ahead of its time. The set design, the script, the score (absolutely gorgeous btw!!); even the concept of this story feels like it should be a relatively new thing. I mean, Companion came out this year, and it honestly feels like a spiritual successor to Ex Machina which came out a whole decade before! (although Companion isn't up to par with this quality-wise).

  For a film about AI, it did a lot of stuff right in that it doesn't think of robots as the problem. It's the humans that are killers and destroyers, always have been & always will be.
