Still made me smile and laugh on rewatch. And yet I also had a bigger appreciation for how the film portrayed getting older - both for 93 year olds like Thelma, and for her 24 year old grandson trying to figure out his place in the world 🙏

Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy 2025
This film had me weeping like a damn baby.
And don't think I didn't catch the 'you're perfect, just as you are' line to Bridget's mum at the end 😭

Hard Truths ... 2024
This was a really intense film, and I thought the cast played their roles perfectly. You could tell Chantelle cares deeply for her sister, despite the way Pansy pushes everyone away.
Pansy's aggression was palpable at times and I felt truly sorry for everyone in her wake. Yet the film did a good job of showing where some of that anger (and loneliness, and depression) comes from.
Despite this, I wanted more from the film, and that's probably on me…
