A shockingly intense take on an all encompassing master and pupil relationship, malfunctioning and terrifying at first, codependent always, turning into what brilliance is made of. Amazed by the music, jazz rehearsed to perfection, paving the path to the true talent for insane improvisations, in awe (once again) by the perserverance and the psychological and physical pain it takes to accomplish greatness, I was mesmerised, watching the screen with an uneasy feeling in my stomack until the last note. A fantastic movie that makes you feel and makes you think, with an excellent finale as well.

It definitely got to me and I was dazzled by the fantastic 'wrapping', the incredible direction, as Alejandro Gonzales Iñárritu draws you in a very original and captivating manner into a psychotropic story, the acting (by pretty much everyone, like Edward Norton *winks*, Emma <3 Stone, the struggling Birdman Michael Keaton), but I was not too thrilled with the substance, as in how or what it has to say. A film worth watching overall, if anything because it's different and exciting.

An excellent film, a glimpse into the exceptional life and work of an unparalleled genius, under the wonderful compositions of Alexandre Desplat. The great talent put into the making of this film, Benedict Cumberbatch especially, did justice to the touching, incredible and tragic story of the unique Alan Turing, whose stunning accomplishments have changed the course of the world.
