Mysterious Skin 2004
Man this was heavy. Great performances, great music choices, beautiful cinematography, effective storytelling. The score was amazing and impactful for the tone. It’s a masterpiece that’s really hard to recommend to most people due to the subject matter however it’s an important film and handled the serious topic with care. After a screening, the whole crowd expressed their confused feelings about the film to each other and I went home in silence. I haven’t had a film that makes me walkout speechless and felt truly lost.
