what if i say this became one of my fav films of all time (if not My All Time Favourite…)
it’s always an amazing experience to go back to it and pay attention to all the technical details around this beautiful and complex story. the directing, the lighting, the ACTING - oh god - they all capture the nature of this world and clare & irene’s relationship and individuality so well. i could go on and on but i’m gonna stop here. you can tell i love this film.

é um ótimo filme affs cinema ! a musicalidade não poderia ser melhor e amei como adaptaram um clássico da mitologia grega pra uma realidade de pessoas negras brasileiras. mas a consciência pesa a partir do momento que começo a pensar em como um filme feito por gringos para gringos como esse pode ter sido aclamado em cannes, no oscar e no gg... o jeito que ele perpetua estereótipos do povo brasileiro e nos retrata como irracionais e apenas carnavalescos é algo que quebra demais a experiência do filme como brasileira.
