Immensely surprised by this film.
The first half is a bit rough. Some of the editing felt off and the dialogue took some time to get used to it. It felt like I was learning a new language for a moment but afterwards, it became natural to me.
Then I started to appreciate the story and event he directing. It was good all the way through to the climax where things started to get heated and exciting.
This very much…

A classic tale of of one's greed and flaws causing one's demise.
Washington was brilliant in this film. For a second, I almost believed him when he was talking about how his way was the right way. It shows how great an actor he is. Looking at the other nominees of the year for Best Actor, Washington truly deserves it.Translated from by

Quite an immersive film, honestly. Every frame just hypnotized me into the frame. I can see why Brady Corbet won a Golden Globe for Best Direction. He truly deserves it. Hopefully, he wins an Oscar for this one.
Adrian Brody did another great job here. Truly felt like he embodied the character here. I didn't see him as an actor, but rather as a character. Such a difficult thing to achieve and Brody understands how to do it.Translated from by -

Really surprised by how much of a blast I had with this film.
Got a good laugh a couple of times, mostly from Silent Bob. But what really surprised me the most was how strong of a story this is. I was expecting another Jay and Silent Bob Strikes Back, but this feels serious. There are even great emotional moments that really surprised me.
Alan Rickman was THE standout in this film. Everything he said was amazing and shows how great of an actor he is.Translated from by
