  For me this film was like goodfellas in bether and without all the shity stuff. I find the prestation of denzel astonishing, i don't think anyone could have done bether for this role and i realy liked how you end up with an attachment to the main caracter (was'nt the case in goodfellas so for me its the main reason i liked american gangster and disliked goodfellas). Realy great movie in every aspect. Despite it's 3 hours long it was extremly eazy to stay focus throuhout the entire movie wich is realy impressive becaus a lot of great movies fail on this part.

  I find it funny to see that not a single 0.5 stars revews on this movie is ever constructiv and never have any argument to explain why this would be a bad movie.
  The movie is extremly good, it gives a great view of how complicated gay relationships were at the time and i find it very well writen and captivating.

  I have always hated when people are singing in movies becaus i always thought it was usless and weird but the movie is actualy so good that i did'nt mind the fact that its a musical comedie. The singing parts actualy fits realy well the caracters and realy helps viewers to get in the mood that each seens are suposed to make you feel.
  Nothing that i did'nt liked in this movie it's just perfect.👌👌👌
