You'll Be Happier 2023
There's a line in this film where main character says, "true beauty is designed to be out of reach," and I think that captures the entire essence of how our society operates and views physical appearances, particularly women's bodies. Jennifer's journey is unique to her, but it tells the same story that's been around forever -- no matter how you look or feel about yourself, it'll never be enough. This is a very thought provoking film, handled with a lot of sensitivity and nuance.
