There are tgings that dont work and then there are things that really work. Tries to be novel, but is quite cliched. A good movie neverthless

A vwry good historical epic of massive proportion.
As an adaptation, it was mid.
Because they wanted to summarise 5 big books in 2 movies, many of kalki's intricately designed plots had to be jammed together, creating a suffocating throughline. Still saw both movies twice(each). Love you karthi, aishwarya and jayaram. You all stealed the show.

scientist kamal hassan looses his shit as all his efforts goes to waste and the whole world is about to die, and suddenly japanese kamal hassan(who has mostly been silent throughout) points to the ocean and screams at the top of his lungs" tsunami".

this is one of my favorite moments from this film, my favourite fan service, commercial masala film.
