I loved the first movie because it had a deep meaning. This one, though... I mean, it was really fun to watch, but the story felt so forced and unnecessary. It seems like I just watched something that Stan Twitter would call "camp," but for me, it was just a bunch of gore with a terrible story. Honestly, it felt like I was watching a live-action version of Granny , lol.
PLEASE! I’M A STAAAAR!
The life we live and the choices we make are all a reflection of what we feel inside. Does that mean I’m going to harm everyone just because they treated me badly? Of course not. However, we all know Pearl was clearly a disturbed girl who lacked emotional support. Still, the way her life unfolded and how she was treated in her own home were, without a doubt, triggers for her actions. We see this clearly at the end of the movie when Pearl approaches her mother, looking for something she was never given: love.
