  so this gave it more legs for the story line, but misses the charm the original had. no longer campy but art deco horror, so i like the feel of it. but the story moved beyond what was needed imo

  Everyone is angry bc of the backlash of people coming into terms of Lolita. No dude this movie was written wonderfully.

  The wife was magnificent. Dialogue… beyond compare. 

  Nothing happens. Student who wants to experience life outside of trust fund given. Teacher does not give in but enough to give the fantasy of someone young and impressionable. 

  They showed reality hitting and yet it is in her mind. Realistic and yet, romantic.

  literally an insane movie. but what’s more insane is that people rave about it and even go so far as to say they watch it every christmas? literally this is like a psychological horror but disguised to look like a hallmark movie. characters have one characteristic each, the subplots add nothing to the story, seems like this was excuse to add incest-y vibes, and overall just foul human behavior to be witnessed. the colleen hoover of movies
