Dear Kelly 2024
I really, really like Andrew Callaghan's work on Channel 5. I really appreciate the swings he takes and the topics he follows. This was unfortunately a swing and a miss for me. Going into it I felt like I had seen half the clips already and kinda knew where we were going. He gets a little preachy while talking about using empathy to understand people who have flung themselves into the rabbit hole, while also selecting clips from his interviews to mock these people's deranged beliefs. Any time Kelly's family wasn't on screen talking about losing their father the film just felt flat.
