  I can’t help but love class consciousness movies (can u tell i’m broke) but the execution of this was really unique, especially the ending and how it forces the viewer to find empathy in both sides regarding abigail and yaya. The acting was a1 from everyone and this movie was not what I was expecting. Harris Dickinson lmk if ur ever wanting to get with another filipino woman

  I was honestly expecting a little more out of this. Beautiful imagery and animation as always, some of the best from studio ghibli, and had nice themes of the definition of what a family is and the meaning/beauty behind the chaos in life, but as far as driving plots and character development it felt a little lackluster.   the perfect movie to watch after a really exhausting day. Such a cute coming of age film that explores heavier themes with the awkward tones of teen puberty and using comedy to cope. I want to squish elliot page and michael cera. Make sure you like dainty indie music though
