A flawless storyline. A perfect example of bold and vivid structure. A script to be taught in classes. Something that is first being felt. Cinematography doesn’t even need to be questioned. Well rounded, real, polymorphic characters. Dark themes. Controversial ethics. Nihilistic touches or even punches. Blurry lines drawn regarding morals and philosophy. Real, extreme but meaningful sex scenes.
On top of that, between some “life is meaningless” scenes, Lars decided to flex some historical, mathematical, poetic, cultural and certainly musical knowledge. Loved those.
