Can’t believe I had never seen this, as iconic as it is. Definitely one of the best sports movies I’ve seen and definitely the best football movie I’ve seen. Does it oversimplify and maybe wanna act like racism is over? Sure, you can say that. But man I don’t care, it was touching. It was emotional, it was funny, it was fun and you really grew to care about this team. Denzel was locked in, great performance.

The Wild Robot 2024
Quick rewatch of one of the best films of last year. If it wasn’t for flow (which I preferred ever so slightly) this would’ve been my pick for best animated feature. I still love this it definitely held up on a second watch. The themes of family and motherhood and different groups putting hatred aside and coming together all hit. Visually stunning, still not sure how the song from this didn’t win best song but oh well.

One of the most stunning to look at animated films I’ve ever watched. This movie was able to do so much emotionally and thematically without a single word being spoken, it’s pretty incredible. I just love animals a lot and I would do anything for that cat. This made me so happy, I’d be lying though if I said at times I wasn’t extremely stressed out any time anything bad happened to these animals.
