  In a perfect world, this would get five stars just for being a vampire movie that deviates from the standard “vampire meets/loves/fucks human” trope, but alas.
  Humanist Vampire has a lot of heart, and in my (unfortunately experienced) opinion does a really solid and depressingly realistic job of depicting suicidal ideation with plenty of dark humour. Unfortunately, I felt this somewhat was let down by inconsistent pacing throughout the film, with so many themes competing for space to be explored…
