  Something I’ve noticed with Yorgos Lathimos movies is that they present abnormal or terrifying situations in ways that make them look casual. It makes for perfect contrast, and equally contrasting cinematography. His movies are stiff, yet not boring. This in my opinion was perfectly paced, along with the last movie of his I watched (Dogtooth). It’s totally alien and I love it.
