When I saw Avril Lavigne in the cast list for this film I thought it had to be a mistake. When I read the synopsis I knew I had to watch this movie tonight.
I love almost all of Sion Sono's films and this is no exception. It's goofy, fun, and achieves it all in a beautiful minimalist fashion.
one of my favorite things about Sono's films are his characters, especially the female ones and Hikari Mitsushima is truly the star and makes this movie shine.
More could've been done with the plot to make it less generic but overall a fun watch.
