I was not prepared for how emotional this film is. As an adoptive dad this tore me into bits then healed me again about 15 times. Better than anything Disney has done in forever.

So this was an absolute blast. I feel it lost the 5 stars by being about 20 minutes too long, Sean Baker should’ve got an editor instead of doing himself as in the third act bits drag on too long.

Mikey Madison honestly slays here, she needs to be in more as she has such a presence and is effortlessly both funny and heartbreaking. Yura Borisov and Mark Eydelshteyn both hold their own too.

Held lots of space for this film even before watching it. Way better than it had any right to be. The fact it’s as good as it is is honestly pretty remarkable considering they’ve split the 2 and a bit hours musical and basically doubled its length and put it into parts, yet it feels fresh and interesting. Almost as good as the press tour for the film was. Ariana is my standout, she needs to be in a screwball comedy. Michelle Yeoh and Jeff Goldblum I love but were woefully miscast.

Charming and sweet film, and would legit cast the diva that is Feathers McGraw in every film. In a world where there’s ten million animated sequels a year, it still feels an exciting milestone when a Wallace and Gromit project comes out. But this one I’d comfortably say is one of the weaker entries. I mean, still it’s really fun, but not a GOAT like Were-Rabbit or Wrong Trousers. My son loved it (he’s very particular with films) so that’s a feat in itself, once he got over being scared of Feathers McGraw (which I’m pleased is still a rite of passage for kids).
