my watching partner deceived me by saying that the young girl was actually just a very small 14 year old when this was filmed - I BELIEVED this as her acting was INCREDIBLE! such a talented kid and only 6 years old! This film is an absolute visual feast, can't wait to rewatch again soon!
(That being said, Darwin just really annoyed me for some reason, maybe just exaggerating the bumbling Englishman stereotype, but I did warm to him when I saw his endless portraits of his little monkey 🥺)

Robert Pattinson is absolutely fantastic in this! Genuinely such a talented actor (something I never thought I'd say as a child that hated the Twilight franchise and didn't partake in Team Edward v Team Jacob warfare).
