As someone who felt almost nothing for the first part, this is much better even if it retains many of the same problems of the previous movie.
Still too cold and emotionless in the ways that approach the narrative and characters, but the spectacular presentation did the heavy lifting this time as you feel that finally something concrete is happening. You can argue that the long (and many times boring) foundation of the previous part is essential to the payoffs…
I had a smile on my face during the entire movie
It takes a really interesting premise of a slasher in a independent porn production and tries at the same time to be a fun classic slasher movie (which is not) and some elevated horror (which is not).
Call me close-minded like this movie calls people a lot, but I'm tired of the "old people naked are scary" trope. No, it's not scary, especially if they are presented in a shallow way like this movie.
Pretentious, boring and really unfunny.
