    Going to see many of the best picture nominees right before the pandemic, predominantly led by Parasite, represents the gateway of me becoming genuinely interested in film beyond the odd year blockbuster, so for that alone I love this movie.

    Exactly as advertised, Sing Sing is a very heartfelt and sometimes heartbreaking story about men surviving in the prison system and finding meaning in their lives through the theater program that the main character (played by Colman Domingo) developed years prior.

    These men are heavily invested as they welcome a newcomer to the group, and it was amazing to see exactly what the program meant for them and what the space shared with these men meant to them as well.…
